Very well done, it resonated with my thought system, it is a pleasure to revisit these tenets so playfully. BravoToon!

Great opportunity! Use the ten seconds at a stoplight, and don’t let the guy behind you blowing his horn ruin your day. It brings forward two quotes: the first from the book Alcoholics Anonymous. It reads “If you have a resentment you want to be free of, if you will pray for the person or the thing you resent. You will be free. If you will ask in prayer for everything you want for yourself to be given to them, you will be free. Ask for their health, their prosperity, their happiness, and you will be free. Even when you don’t rally want it for them, and your prayers are only words and you don’t mean it, do it anyway. Do it every day for two weeks and you will find you have come to mean it and to want it for them, and you will realize that where you used to feel bitterness and resentment and hatred, you now feel compassionate understanding and love.”

The second is from Aristotle: “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.”

Today our pastor said a good tool is to write a list of those who have hurt us or whom we have hurt. To heal our memories and emotions, we can say, “The Christ in me sends blessings to the Christ in you.” So we don’t have to deny the wrong that was done — we can let God do the heavy lifting to forgive! As you said, with these tools, an attitude adjustment is inevitable.

      Thanks, Tom!

Bravo for putting this video together as it is very helpful. We need all the assistance we can get when interacting with our fellow brothers and sisters!

I have a friend that is like a father to me. I have known him for many years. He has always suffered from depression and is under a doctors care. It is a trial to be on the phone with him as everything out of his mouth is negative!!

He tells me there is so much evil in the world I tell him to stop watching the news. I don’t watch the news! He tells me he has lost so much wait and I tell him nothing wrong with that as most people develop health issues from being over weight than from being under!

The list goes on. It never ends. I find myself saying why the heck did I call. I try not to minimize what he perceives but I explain over and over if you focus on the negative, no good will come out of it. You always have to be positive and think about our Lord that He is there with us in our trial
and to think about the Saints too!
Padre Pio told us many times always to hope and pray but never worry! As you may know he received the stigmata of Christ.

The Saints got the Lord’s message and lived their lives accordingly. May the
Angels and Saints give me the strength of their intercession and the gifts of the Holy Spirit continue to give us courage and patience in assisting our friends and family in difficult times.

      Sal,
Yes, responding with love to a ongiong negativity is especially difficult. There’s true virtue in keeping at it, as you’re doing. As you know, no one’s expected to put up with harmful behavior, such as physical or verbal abuse. Just want to take this chance to say that.
      Thanks, Sal.
