My attention was grabbed by Thelma’s hair in the pew in front of me before church. In a cathedral lined with colorful mosaics and marble – a visual feast — my wondering eyes were on her beautiful woven locks. The colors radiated and glowed like strands of precious gold and copper. The intricate braiding reminded me of God’s beauty, harmony, and playfulness. Her hair was a gift to me that I want to pass on to you. Thank you, Thelma, for sharing your gift with the world.
