Woman climbing uphill

I’m leading the reflections this weekend at a Faithbooking retreat at San Damiano Spiritual Life Center in White Post, Virginia. In this quick video are thoughts I shared this morning about sticking close to Christ even when the way is bumpy, uphill, or covered with thorns. And, hey, this is Laetare Sunday, so let’s rejoice to follow Jesus whether the road is sunny, bumpy, or a little foggy — if we’re with Him, we always have hope!

Love always,
Rose

I seem to get these messages when I’m least prepared to receive them. Walk with Christ? Under those conditions? Nevertheless I clicked Virtue Connection.

I can’t tell you why it worked; curiosity, hope or just tired of being Tired. But then I remembered, when I’m walking with Christ on this seemingly uncomfortable journey, we’re not traveling alone. I’m with friends who see this journey as an adventure; what an adventure!

There is so much hidden sorrow in all of our hearts. But we can rejoice because the walk ends in the resurrection. Meanwhile, adventure is a good way to think of it!

I recently learned from Matthew Kelly that the most said words by Jeseus are “ Be not afraid”. Ups or downs , whatever the road for each of us and our loved ones, put your hand in Jesus’s

    Hi Rose!

I enjoyed your video very much. Yes, we must rejoice always as God sent his only begotten Son not to condemn the world, but to save it (John 3:16). Christ our Lord paid the ultimate price to save humanity even though He was sinless! This is a debt we can never repay and a testament of how much He loves us.

Every morning as I get out of bed I recite the following before I begin my prayers:

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, and Saviour of the world, have mercy on my soul your most unworthy servant and a sinner.

Immaculate heart of Mary, pray for me. Most sacred heart of Jesus have mercy on me.

Since we know Christ is always present in our lives in good times as well as bad, I will pray:

Jesus, Joseph, and Mary I love you. Save souls. Or the Lord is my shepherd, there is nothing I shall want.

I hope you are enjoying the retreat and congratulations on your speaking engagement!

    Peace in Christ!
